  1. Carrots – 1 kg (grated)
  2. Milk – 1 liter (full cream)
  3. Sugar – 3/4 cup (according to taste)
  4. Khoya (mawa) – 250 grams
  5. Ghee – 4 tablespoons
  6. Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Cashews – 10-12 (chopped)
  8. Almonds – 10-12 (chopped)
  9. Raisins – 15-20
  10. Pistachios – 10-12 (for garnishing)

Method of preparation: Carrot Halwa

Traditional method:

  1. First, wash the carrots and grate them.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  3. Add the grated carrots and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Now add milk to it and cook on low flame till the milk dries up completely. Keep stirring in between so that the carrots do not burn.
  5. After the milk dries up, add sugar to it and mix well.
  6. When the sugar melts, add khoya and mix.
  7. Add cardamom powder, cashews, almonds, and raisins. Cook it for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Take out the halwa on a plate garnish with pistachios and serve.

In a new style:

1. Chocolate Carrot Halwa:

When the halwa is ready, melt 100 grams of dark chocolate and mix it.

Children will like the chocolate twist very much.

2. Coconut Twist:

To the halwa, add half a cup of grated coconut, either fresh or dry.

The taste of coconut will make it even more amazing.

3. Dry Fruit Stuffed Halwa:

Fill the prepared halwa in small bowls and cover it by filling dry fruits in the middle.

It will look great both in appearance and in eating.

4. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream:

Serve cold vanilla ice cream beside heated carrot halwa.
