Method :
- First, combine the baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, maida, and salt in a large basin and sift thoroughly.
- This will get all the ingredients and no lumps will form.
- Next, add the milk, oil, and vanilla essence to a second bowl and whisk well.
- Now slowly pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix with light hands.
- Don’t overbeat it, just mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
- A small amount of warm water can be added to the batter to adjust its thickness if it appears excessively thick.
- Lastly, add the white vinegar and stir lightly once more. The cake will become spongy and fluffy with the addition of vinegar and baking soda.
- Line the muffin tin with paper cups or cupcake liners. Mix the chocolate chips into the batter if using.
- Fill the prepared batter to ¾ in the cupcake liners. Be careful, do not fill them completely as they will puff up when baked.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes. Now place the cupcake tray in the oven and bake at 180°C for 18-22 minutes.
- Check by inserting a toothpick into the center; If the toothpicks come out clean, then the cupcakes are ready.
- After taking the cupcakes out of the oven and leaving them in the tray for five minutes, place them on a wire rack and allow them to cool fully.
- After cooling, you can decorate these savory cupcakes with frosting or sprinkles and serve them to kids.
