Directions :
- To create a smooth puree, first place the diced watermelon pieces in a blender and blend thoroughly.
- In the blender, combine the grated ginger, roasted cumin powder, black salt, mint leaves, and finely chopped green chilies (if using).
- Blend all the ingredients again so that the mint and ginger are well ground and their flavour blends with the watermelon.
- If you feel tiny particles of fiber or seeds in the emeralds, you can strain the mixture through a fine sieve.
- However, drinking unfiltered water retains the fiber content.
- Add lemon juice and sugar or honey (if using) to the strained or unfiltered mixture.
- Mix well so that the sugar dissolves. Depending on how sweet the watermelon is, change the amount of sugar.
- Now, add cold water as needed. You can keep it thick or thin as desired.
- Refrigerate the watermelon panna for at least half an hour.
- Serve chilled watermelon panna with ice cubes and enjoy this new taste of summer.
