How to Make Nutritious Vegetable Cutlets for Kids: Ingredients

  1. Potatoes (boiled and mashed) – 2 medium size
  2. Carrot (grated) – 1 medium size
  3. Peas (boiled) – 1/2 cup
  4. Onion (finely chopped) – 1
  5. Green chili (finely chopped) – 1-2
  6. Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves (finely chopped) – 1/2 cup
  8. Kasuri methi – 1/2 tsp
  9. Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
  11. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  13. Salt – to taste
  14. Bread crumbs – 1 cup
  15. Oil – for frying

Method:

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes. Grate the carrots and boil the peas.
  2. Finely chop the onion and green chili.
  3. Finely chop the coriander leaves as well.
  4. In a large bowl, add mashed potatoes, grated carrots, boiled peas, finely chopped onions and green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, kasuri methi, garam masala, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt and mix well.
  5. Make small balls from the mixture and coat these balls in bread crumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets till they turn golden brown.
  7. Serve hot vegetable cutlets with tomato sauce or green chutney.
