Ingredients: How to Make Crispy Poha

  1. 1 cup poha
  2. 1/2 cup gram flour
  3. 1/4 cup curd
  4. 1 onion, finely chopped
  5. 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  6. 1/2 inch ginger, grated
  7. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  10. 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds
  11. 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Oil for frying
  14. Green coriander, finely chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. To make Poha Pakodas, first, wash them and soak them in water for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the extra water.
  2. After this, add gram flour, curd, onion, green chili, ginger, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, carom seeds, coriander powder, and salt in a large bowl and mix well.
  3. Now add the soaked Poha to the batter and mix well. The batter should be a little thick. You can add water if the batter is too thick.
  4. Then heat oil in a pan. Take a spoonful of the batter and drop it in the hot oil. Flip it on both sides until it turns golden brown.
  5. Finally, take out the prepared pakoras on a paper towel to remove the extra oil. Serve hot with tea and garnish with coriander leaves.
