Palak Chicken Recipe: Ingredients

  1. Spinach: 250 grams
  2. Chicken: half a kilo
  3. Onion: 2 large size finely chopped
  4. Tomatoes: 2 medium size
  5. Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
  6. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  8. Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon
  10. Green chili: finely chopped as per taste
  11. Curd: 2 tablespoons
  12. Oil: five tablespoons
  13. Salt: as per taste
  14. Fresh cream: 1 tablespoon
  15. Coriander leaves: for garnishing

Method:

  1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and boil it. After it cools down, grind it in a mixer and make a paste.
  2. On the other hand, marinate the chicken by mixing ginger-garlic paste, curd, turmeric, and a little salt for 30 minutes.
  3. After the chicken is marinated, heat oil in a pan add chopped onion, and fry till it becomes golden brown.
  4. Now add ginger-garlic paste and cook it well. After this add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  5. Cook the spices well until it leaves oil. Now add chicken and cook it half on low flame.
  6. When the chicken is half cooked, add spinach paste and garam masala to it.
  7. Mix it well and cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. When the spinach chicken is ready, garnish it with fresh cream and coriander.
  9. You can serve hot spinach chicken with roti, paratha, or rice.
