Ingredients:

  1. 250 gms paneer (thick pieces)
  2. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  3. 2 tbsp cornflour
  4. Oil (for frying)
  5. Salt (to taste)
  6. 2 tbsp grated paneer
  7. 1 tbsp cashew paste
  8. 1 tbsp raisins
  9. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  10. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  11. Salt (to taste)
  12. 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  13. 2 onions (finely grated)
  14. 2 tomatoes (finely grated)
  15. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  16. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  17. 1 tsp coriander powder
  18. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  19. 1 tsp garam masala
  20. 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  21. 1/2 cup fresh cream
  22. 1 tbsp cashew paste
  23. Salt (to taste)
  24. Coriander leaves (for garnish)

Method: Paneer Pasanda Recipe

  1. Firstly, cut thick pieces of paneer. Cut each piece from the center to make a pocket, but make sure that the pieces are not completely separated.
  2. Mix flour, cornflour, and salt in a bowl. Lightly coat the paneer pieces in this mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, add grated paneer, cashew paste, raisins, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt and mix well.
  4. Stuff this mixture into the pockets of the paneer pieces.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the stuffed paneer pieces on low flame till they turn golden.
  6. Remove the fried paneer pieces on a kitchen tissue to absorb excess oil.
  7. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and fry.
  8. Add finely grated onions and fry till they turn golden.
  9. Fry for a few minutes after adding the ginger-garlic paste.
  10. Add finely grated tomatoes and cook well with the spices till the oil separates.
  11. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and salt and mix well.
  12. Thick the gravy further by adding cashew paste and fresh cream.
  13. Add garam masala and cook the gravy for 5-7 minutes.
  14. Add the fried paneer pieces to the gravy and mix lightly.
  15. Cook it on low flame for 5 minutes so that the paneer can absorb the flavor of the gravy.
  16. Add coriander leaves for garnishing.
  17. Serve paneer pasanda with naan, roti, paratha, or rice. It can also be eaten with salad and raita. Its royal taste will make your meal even more special.
