  16. Salt: To taste
  17. Coriander leaves: For garnish

Steps to Prepare Idli: How to Make Idli Sambhar

  1. Soak and Grind
  2. Rinse the rice and urad dal separately.
  3. Soak the rice and urad dal (along with fenugreek seeds if using) in water for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  4. Grind the urad dal to a smooth paste and the rice to a coarse paste.
