Make Crispy Onion Kachori: Ingredients

  1. 2 cups flour
  2. Oil for kneading
  3. Salt
  4. Water
  5. 3 medium-sized onions and finely chopped
  6. Fennel seeds 1 teaspoon
  7. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Amchur powder, half a teaspoon
  9. Red chilli powder, half a teaspoon
  10. Turmeric one-fourth teaspoon
  11. Green chilli 2 finely chopped
  12. Ginger 1 teaspoon grated
  13. Gram flour 2 tablespoons
  14. Coriander leaves, finely chopped

Make Crispy Onion Kachori: Method

  1. Put flour, salt, and oil for kneading on a plate. Mix them well.
  2. Now add water slowly and knead a hard but soft dough.
  3. Keep it aside to set.
  4. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil.
  5. Add the onions, ginger, fennel, and green chilies and cook until golden brown.
  6. Add the gram flour now, and cook over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the gram flour is no longer raw.
  7. Season with salt, turmeric, red chilli, dry mango powder, and coriander powder.
  8. Allow the stuffing to cool before adding the green coriander.
  9. After this, make small balls of dough.
  10. Roll each ball lightly, fill the onion stuffing in the middle, and close it.
  11. Now roll lightly, be careful not to make it too thin.
  12. Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.
  13. Fry the kachoris on a low flame slowly till they become golden and crispy.
  14. Hot onion kachori is ready.
  15. Serve it with green chutney or tea.
