Ingredients:

  1. Fresh ladyfinger – 250 grams (washed, dried, and cut lengthwise)
  2. Gram flour – 2 tablespoons
  3. Rice flour – 1 tablespoon (to make ladyfinger crispy)
  4. Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  7. Dry mango powder – 1/2 teaspoon (for sourness)
  8. Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Salt – according to taste
  10. Oil – for frying (can be made in less oil, too)

Crispy Bhindi Fry Recipe: Method

  1. The most important step is to dry the ladyfinger completely after washing it.
  2. If there is any moisture left in the ladyfinger, it will become sticky and will not be crispy.
  3. The best way is to spread it on a cloth after washing and let it dry for 30 minutes.
  4. After this, first cut the ladyfinger lengthwise into two parts.
  5. If the ladyfinger is thick, you can also cut it into four pieces. If there are too many seeds, you can remove them gently.
  6. Then put all the chopped ladyfingers in a big bowl. Now add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, dried mango powder, garam masala, and salt.
  7. After this, add gram flour and rice flour and mix well so that the spices stick well on each piece.
  8. If needed, add 1 teaspoon of oil so that the coating becomes even better.
  9. Then heat oil in a pan and fry the ladyfinger pieces on a medium flame till they become crispy.
  10. Put 2-3 teaspoons of oil in a non-stick pan and fry the ladyfinger on low flame by turning it till it becomes golden and crispy.
