Ingredients: Crispy Gram Flour & Semolina Tikkis Recipe
- 1 cup gram flour
- 1/2 cup semolina
- 1/4 cup curd
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil (for frying)
Method:
- First of all, add gram flour, semolina, turmeric, cumin powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder and salt in a large vessel. Now add curd and some water to it and prepare a thick batter.
- Mix the batter well and knead it a little. Keep in mind that the batter should neither be too thick nor too thin. If needed, you can add some more water.
- Heat oil in a wok or pan. Check whether the oil is hot or not by adding a little water to the oil.
- Now apply some oil on your hands and make small balls from the batter and flatten them to give them the shape of tikkis.
- Now put these tikkis in hot oil and fry them on both sides until they become golden brown.
- Serve the prepared gram flour and semolina tikkis hot with green coriander chutney or tomato sauce.
