Ingredients: Easy Paneer Roll Recipe
- 200 gms paneer, grated
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 green chilli, finely chopped (to taste)
- 1/2 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- Pinch of garam masala
- 1/4 tsp dry mango powder (or lemon juice)
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 4-5 wheat chapatis (roti)
- 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
- Green chutney or tomato ketchup (for serving)
Method:
- Firstly, in a bowl, add grated paneer, finely chopped onion, green chilli, grated ginger, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, dry mango powder (or lemon juice), coriander leaves, and salt.
- After this, mix all the ingredients well. Make sure that the paneer is mixed well.
- If you do not have pre-made rotis, you can also make fresh rotis.
- Warm the rotis slightly so that they are soft and easy to roll.
- Take a warm roti, place 2-3 tablespoons of paneer mixture in its center.
- Give the roti the shape of a roll by folding it from the sides. If you want, you can keep it open or close it with a toothpick.
- Then heat a tawa or pan and pour some oil into it. Place the prepared paneer roll on the tawa and fry it on both sides till it becomes golden brown.
- Make sure to fry it on low flame so that the paneer mixture also gets heated from inside. If you want, you can also shallow fry it using less oil.
- Serve the hot, delicious paneer roll with green chutney or tomato ketchup and enjoy this delicious snack.
