Butter Chicken Recipe: Ingredients
- Chicken: 500 grams (boneless, chopped into small pieces)
- Curd: 1 cup
- Garlic paste: 1 tbsp
- Ginger paste: 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder: 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder: 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Butter: 3-4 tbsp
- Oil: 2 tbsp
- Onion: 2 large (finely grated)
- Tomatoes: 4 large (finely grated)
- Cashew paste: 2 tbsp
- Fresh cream: 1/2 cup
- Green chili: 2 (finely chopped)
- Fresh coriander leaves: for garnish

Method :
- Firstly, wash the chicken pieces thoroughly. In a bowl, add curd, garlic paste, ginger paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt, and mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces to it coat it well and keep it in the fridge to marinate for at least 2 hours.
- Grill the marinated chicken or fry it on a pan by adding little oil till it becomes golden brown. Keep it aside.
- Heat butter in a pan and add grinded onions and fry till it becomes golden. Then add ground tomatoes and cook well.
- When the tomatoes are cooked completely and the oil starts separating, add cashew paste to it and mix it.
- Let the gravy cool down and then put it in a blender and make a smooth paste.
- Heat some butter in a pan and add the blended paste to it. Add fresh cream, green chilies and salt and mix well. Cook the gravy for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the grilled chicken pieces to the gravy and mix well. Cook it on low flame for 5 minutes, so that the chicken can absorb the taste of the gravy.
- Serve the butter chicken with hot naan, roti, or rice. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and some cream on top.
